Through new approaches to practices of relationality and novel findings on the politics of recognition in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Kenya, this project resulted in enhanced capacity for indigenous researchers and new insights into the effects and limits of recognition politics in diverse postcolonial contexts, enhancing the capacity of indigenous peoples to negotiate power imbalances and the capacity of Australian policy makers, development workers and corporations to engage effectively and ethically in such negotiations.
