The Yawuru Knowing Our Community (YKC) Household Survey

The YKC survey was conducted between April and July of 2011. It engaged a total of 997 Indigenous households in private dwellings in the Broome area.

Of these, as many as 928 (93%) participated in the survey and 69 (7%) declined the offer. As for people resident in non-private dwellings or homeless, the survey contacted a total of 249 individuals in various non-private dwellings as well as at various well-known camping sites around the town.
