This project creates opportunities for reconnection to traditional language and cultural knowledge through physical, spiritual and environmental practices with plants and animals on country through the creation of the Garragal Traditional Language and Knowledge Women’s Network (Garragal Women’s Network).

Aunty Beryl van Oploo is a Gamilaroi (Kamilaroi) woman and Indigenous Elder and educator, whose career has spanned more than fifty years.

Aunty Bernadette Duncan is a Kamilaroi language worker and co-created Garragal Women’s Network groups in the Walgett and Moree regions in New South Wales.

Aunty Rhonda has assisted in creating teaching programs and resources for communities, schools, TAFEs and universities, and have taught and supported programs to educate students on Aboriginal language and culture.
